Oat Biscuits

Oat Biscuits

These oat biscuits are pretty healthy as far as biscuits go! Very little sugar and lots of nuts. Enjoy with a nice cup of masala chai or coffee.

Ingredients

  • 1 x bowl self rising flour or brown wheat flour

  • 1 x bowl porridge oats

  • 1 x bowl coarse chopped almonds

  • 1 x bowl of coarse chopped pistachio

  • 4 x tbsp sunflour seeds

  • 4 x tbsp pumpkin seeds

  • 1 x tbsp ginger powder (optional)

  • 1/4 x bowl sugar

  • 1 x tsp Bicarbonate soda

  • 1 x 250 grams butter

Method

  • Mix butter, sugar and bicarbonate soda

  • Then add all the dry ingredients and mix

  • Leave the mixture aside for 1/2 hour

  • Take some of the mixture and roll into a small ball

  • Press the ball between your palms to flatten the mixture

  • Place on a baking tray

  • Bake at 180 for 10-15 mins (or until golden brown)
