Turmeric Paste

This turmeric paste is very good for lowering inflammation in the body, for keeping colds at bay and for general good health. We use turmeric in our food every day and it is known in our culture as a core ‘spice’ for health and Ayurvedic medicine.

Ingredients

  • 1 x cup organic turmeric powder

  • 2 x cups water

  • 3 x tsp ground black pepper

  • 5 x tbsp coconut oil (not melted)

Method

  • Mix Turmeric & Water, on slow heat for 8 mins

  • Keep stirring until paste is thick but smooth (if needed add a bit more water)

  • Take off the heat

  • Add black pepper and coconut oil and mix

  • Once cold, decant into small containers, leave to cool and then freeze

  • Take one container out and leave in the fridge for daily use

How to take

  • Every morning, mix 1/4 tsp with warm water on an empty stomach and drink
